Lodestar Ale straddles the space between sessionable & complex. Bohemian floor malted pilsner was used for the base to create a clean malt flavor to allow for three different types of rye to shine through. A blend of Northern Brewer, Mt. Hood & Polaris hops used in the kettle and again after fermentation balance it all out. Juniper berries added at the end of the boil help tie the distinct flavors together while the Kolsch yeast we used kept it clean and crisp.
