GROWLERS & THANKSGIVING: A PERFECT PAIRING

If you’re looking to bring something unique to your Thanksgiving feast, a growler of Fulton will make you a popular guest, and you'll be at least a little more original than your cousin who brought the bottle of merlot. White meat? The crisp, slightly sweet Lonely Blonde will shine the spotlight on Grandma’s mashed potatoes and your organic veggies. Dark meat? The rich, indulgent Libertine will call from across the room to the cinnamon sweet potatoes and candied pecans as well as the ubiquitous pumpkin pie. We're open from 3-10 on Thanksgiving Eve, and in addition to Lonely Blonde and Libertine, we have growlers of Sweet Child of Vine, The Ringer, and Batch 300 available.

SEND US YOUR HOLIDAY CARDS (& WE'LL SEND YOU OURS)

We want to show you off on the wall at the taproom! Mail us your holiday card and we’ll put your smiling face up on the wall, next to all your Fulton friends and neighbors. In exchange, we’ll mail our card to you so everyone who stops by knows how important you are to us! Here’s our mailing address: Fulton Brewing 414 6th Avenue North Minneapolis, MN 55401

BLACK FRIDAY: IT'S BETTER AT THE BREWERY

We’ll be open from Noon - 11:00 on Friday so that you can take a break from shopping to stop in and have a beer. Or, if you’re all done by noon, you could treat yourself to a beer after shopping. Or you could have a beer in preparation to go out shopping. Or you could stop in to avoid shopping altogether.

HOLIDAY GIFT PACKS ARE BACK

And speaking of shopping, we’ve been asked once or twice (or...eighty times) about whether we’ll be offering Fulton gift packs again this year. What kind of a neighbor would we be if we failed to come through? We have great options for all budgets available:
  • Stocking Stuffer - Bottle coozie, 10 coasters, key chain & 2 pint tokens - $18
  • Pint Token Grab Bag - 5 tokens for $20
  • Beer Fan Bag - baseball or winter hat, 2 pint glasses, 2 tokens, & key chain - $25
  • Beer Lover's Box -- 2 pint glasses, 1 pint token, any t-shirt, key chain, growler and fill - $40

That will make it easy to find something for all the hard-to-shop-for people on your list, except for that one uncle who doesn’t like beer or fun. These packages are available in the taproom only, starting on Friday 11/29 and running through the holiday season.

WE'VE GOT SOME COOL NEW GEAR, TOO

Just in time for you Christmas shopping needs, we've added some great new gear to our selection at the taproom. Whether it's a t-shirt, sweatshirt, or some fun stocking stuffer ideas, we have you covered. Better yet, if you stop in on Saturday, American Express has a $10 Small Business Saturday bonus for you. Here's just a few of our new items.

The Ugly Sweater Shirt Ugly sweaters never go out of style because they were never in style. At least this one comes with the comfort of an American Apparel longsleeve T. #MattMoon not included.

The Green Hoodie Let's face it, you're always cold this time of year. It's not getting better for a while, so why not warm up in comfort and in style?

The Bar Sign You would need an enormous stocking to fit this metal Fulton badge sign, so maybe just put it under the tree for the Fulton fan in your family whose office/basement/garage wall needs just a little more character.

BATCH 300 MOSAIC IPA IS HERE. PLUS A NEW BREWERY UPDATE & NOVEMBER EVENTS.

Mmm...Mosaic hops.

BATCH 300 - A MOSAIC IPA

In celebration of the 300th batch at our Minneapolis brewery, we decided to brew a one-time only beer for our Garage Series. And since so many of those 300 batches have been IPAs, why not celebrate with an IPA? Batch 300 is built on a base of Weyermann Pilsner malt, and heavily hopped from start to finish with Mosaic, one of our favorite new American hop varieties. At 74 IBU and just under 7% ABV, Batch 300 will delight your palate without wearing it out. Batch 300 is now available on draft at select Twin Cities bars and restaurants, and will be on tap and in growlers at our taproom starting tomorrow, 11/6. Get some while you can - Batch 300 can only be made once!

WHAT'S HAPPENING AT THE NEW BREWERY?

Two months have already passed since we signed our lease and closed on our loan for our new production brewery in Northeast Minneapolis. While we're still many months away from brewing beer, things are starting to happen. The first thing we did was move our warehousing in, which includes empty kegs, growlers, and some boxes of miscellaneous homebrewing holdovers from Pete's garage. We've also moved into the offices - yes, we finally have real offices for the first in Fulton's four + year history! Aside from that, the first two months have mostly been continued construction planning, up until this week. In brewing, having the right floor is critical, and once your equipment is placed, you don't have a chance to do it over. This week, our contractors started jackhammering away at the nearly 6,000 square feet of concrete that will be removed and re-poured with proper slope, load bearing capacity, and drains. The new concrete will be epoxied to ensure that it's easy to clean and can stand up to the rigors of production brewing. Once the floors are done, we'll be off to the races with all sorts of plumbing and electrical work to be completed before our equipment starts to arrive later this winter.

NOVEMBER EVENTS

Despite having our hands full with our new brewery project, we're participating in all sorts of fun events this month. A sampling: Sustainable Brewing Fundraiser for Net Impact This Wednesday, 11/5, Net Impact is holding a fundraiser at Summit Brewing. The night's topic will be sustainability in the brewing industry, and includes a discussion with panelists from Fulton, Summit, Finnegans, Bang Brewing, and The Growler. Tickets are $20 and include a free Kleen Kanteen stainless steel pint glass. $2 pints from Summit and eats from Hot Indian Foods. Beer Dinner at Eat Shop in Plymouth On Tuesday, November 12th, the folks at Eat Shop will be hosting us for a four course beer dinner. Eat Shop is one of the most exciting new restaurants to open in the West Metro in the last few years, so if you haven't stopped by yet, this is a great opportunity. Give them a call at 763.270.5929 for tickets. Library Salon Series @ American Craft Council Our Northeast MPLS neighbors at the American Craft Council have invited us to join them for a Library Salon Series event on Thursday, November 14th. We'll be telling the story of homebrewing roots and building our brewery (over samples of beer, of course) and will be joined by the folks from FOCI - The Minnesota Center for Glass Arts, who will discuss the history of glass drinkware across several cultures. Better yet, a number of FOCI artists will be crafting custom glassware to be viewed and voted on at the event! The event is free and no registration is required, but make sure to show up early, as space is limited.
