Fulton is a Minneapolis brewery founded in 2009. We own and operate a 20 bbl brewery and taproom in downtown Minneapolis next to Target Field, and a 50,000 square foot production brewery in Northeast Minneapolis. In 2016, Fulton will produce approximately 28,000 barrels, sold mostly in the Twin Cities metro area. Qualifications

  • Packaging or manufacturing experience; formal packaging education, training, certifications, or accreditation are a plus.
  • Must have the ability and aptitude to learn and perform basic electrical, mechanical, and programming troubleshooting. A working knowledge of brewing and process equipment includingHMIs and PLC equipment is a plus.
  • Must have the ability and aptitude to learn and perform skills applicable to general maintenance functions, including: mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, boiler maintenance.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision in a collaborative and dynamic environment, while efficiently prioritizing tasks.
  • The ability to follow SOPs.
  • The ability to multi-task while keeping strong attention to detail. 
  • The ability to work with others to accomplish common goals.
  • The ability to adhere to and advances the safety and procedures.
  • The ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and blue prints.
  • Experience with personal protection equipment a plus.
  • The ability to operate a forklift and scissor lift, current OSHA approved training certification a plus.
  • The ability to work flexible hours.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure all packaging equipment is set up, maintained, and operational to allow for efficient and safe packaging of quality product.
  • Operate bottling and kegging line, and perform changeovers on equipment.
  • Run CIPs to start up and shut down the lines.
  • Complete production and batch reporting as required.
  • Learn and perform QC procedures throughout a packaging run
  • Perform basic cellar operations, e.g. carbonating beer.
  • Comply with all Fulton Brewing Company policies.
  • Aid in training as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively and work well with other departments. 
  • Work towards achieving departmental goals around efficiencies and yields.
  • Attending Fulton Brewing Company events, e.g. tastings, releases, and beer festivals.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, returning tools, equipment and supplies to the appropriate storage areas after each assignment.

 

Brewery Working Environment

The demands of the Packaging Line Operator position are very physical in nature.  The demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job you will be working over, under, and around machinery in tight and cramped spaces.  You will need to be able to work in awkward positions for extended periods of time and/or standing, kneeling, and crouching for long periods of time.  You must be comfortable working at heights while standing on a ladder or in a basket.  This work environment involves indoor and outdoor activities in various temperatures and weather conditions.  The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Employees are exposed to high levels of noise and other hazards requiring the use of personal protective equipment.

Compensation & Benefits

Fulton offers salary commensurate with experience and a benefits package. We’re looking to hire people who are serious about beer without taking themselves too seriously. The ability to adapt to change, operate independently, work hard, and learn fast is a must.
